Prerequisites of Rescue Diver

Are you interested in taking this challenging step in your dive journey? Participants should be at least 12 years old to sign up for this program. Like in other dive courses, you have to be in good health and know basic swimming skills. You should have already completed the Emergency First Response and be at least an Advanced Open Water Diver to qualify for this water rescue course.

How to become a Rescue Diver

The dive program begins with e-Learning which allows you to go through the online training materials wherever and whenever you are. There’s an exam at the end to determine if you’re all set for the next phase.

When you’re ready for the in-water training, you can get in touch with our dive shop Dubai and we’ll work out the details including your preferred schedule. You will be required to finish 10 rescue exercises in open water. To complete the course, you need to participate in two Rescue Diver scenarios in open water.

Benefits of becoming a Rescue Diver

1.) Enhance scuba skills and boost your confidence

Learning to deal with different underwater emergency scenarios and practicing problem-solving skills will help you become a better diver. The knowledge and skills that you learned will be put to the actual test. As you fulfill the requirements of the situations, you will become more confident underwater.

2.) Strengthen navigation skills

Underwater navigation is crucial in diving. An individual who has poor navigation skills will have difficulty knowing where he or she is on a dive which can lead to panicking.

During the Rescue Diver course, you will improve your navigation techniques to make sure that you are capable of finding your way around the dive site even in low visibility. Practicing underwater navigation skills will sharpen your observation abilities and teach you to accurately use your underwater compass. Fine-tuning your navigation skills will make it easier for you to enjoy your dive knowing that you have everything under control.

3.) Always prepared for emergencies

As much as we want to avoid emergency cases by taking precautions, they may still arise while diving. When you become a Rescue Diver, you will be able to deal with an underwater scuba diving emergency.

You’ll learn that the best way to deal with an underwater emergency is to prevent it before it has a chance to start. The course will strengthen your proactive approach to situations by being able to identify telltale signs of potential problems.

4.) Learn and enjoy the experience

The Rescue Diver course is a serious program that requires determination and focus. But our PADI-certified instructors will make sure that you enjoy the experience. There’s always time for fun and laughter.
