JEE Eligibility Criteria and Registration Process

The CBSE Board organizes the JEE Main exam to determine admission to undergraduate engineering programmes at IITs, NITs, and IIITs. Age

Percentage

• Students seeking admission to NITs/IIITs/GFTIs must have completed their 12th grade with a minimum of 75% or be in the top 20% of their class (65% for SC/ST candidates). 
• Students applying for admission to B.Arch. or B.Planning should have passed a 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.

Qualification

• Students must have completed their 12th grade or qualified for the exam in 2020 or 2021. 
• Candidates in their 12th or equivalent qualifying exams in 2022 are also eligible to apply. 

Total Number of Attempts

Subjects

• B.E/B.Tech: They should have passed the qualifying exam in Physics, Mathematics, and any (Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, or Technical Vocational subjects).

The Steps for Applying for JEE Mains:

Requirement of Aadhar Card

All Indian citizen candidates must have a UIDAI-issued AADHAAR card. Candidates must enter their AADHAAR number, name, date of birth, and gender when filling out the JEE (Main)–2017 application form. Which will be validated against UIDAI data. If these details do not match, candidates will be unable to complete the JEE (Main)–2017 application form. As a result, candidates should ensure that their AADHAAR card contains the correct details of their name, gender and date of birth as per school records. If there is a discrepancy in these details, candidates should correct it immediately in AADHAAR data or school records.

Registration

To begin, candidates must complete the JEE Main 2022 registration process by providing basic information such as their email address, contact number, and name. Candidates must also generate a password and answer security questions. A unique JEE Main 2022 application number will be generated following successful registration. Save the registration number because it will be used for all subsequent logins. 

Complete Application Form

Candidates must then log in to their account using the generated application number and password and submit all of the required information.

1. Scanned Photograph

• Size – 10 kb to 200 kb 
• Format – JPG/JPEG 

2. Scanned Signature

• Size – 4 kb to 30 kb
• Format – JPG/JPEG

3. 12thAdmit card/Marksheet/Certificate

• Size – 50kb to 500kb

Payment of Application Fee

Pay the NTA JEE Main 2022 application fee. To make a payment, choose Debit card/Credit card/Net banking, etc., and follow the on-screen instructions. 

Printout of the Confirmation Page

Finally, candidates should take a printout of the submitted application form after making a successful payment.
